BBC Audiobooks America Offering UK Titles for U.S. Audiences

Beginning September 1st, BBCAudiobooksAmerica.com will be offering “The Best of British Audio” for U.S. audiences. A library of over 50 titles (formerly UK-exclusive and could only be ordered as imports) will be available, including mysteries, documentaries, classic fiction works (Treasure Island, Heidi, The Jungle Book, War of the Worlds, The Wizard of Oz), and audio novelizations of the classic scifi TV series Dr. Who (narrated by Tom Baker).

The radio dramas are full cast dramatizations, and voices of note include Eartha Kitt (The Emperor’s New Groove, The Emperor’s New School), Brian Cox (Manhunt, Battle for Terra), Rowan Atkinson (The Lion King, Black Adder, Mr. Bean), Richard Burton (Cleopatra, Hamlet), comedian Stephen Fry (video games LittleBigPlanet, Harry Potter series, Fable 2), and Sir Laurence Olivier (Sparticus, Clash of the Titans).
